A-1 Fence only installs wood fence made out of the best material. We use Western Red Cedar pickets, Western Red CEDAR BACK RAILS (not treated), and your choice of a 4"x4" treated post or a 2 �" steel post.

The next step in deciding which posts to choose is to ask yourself how long you plan on living in your home? If you plan on living on living there for the rest of your life, steel posts would probably be the better option. Although they are more expensive at the beginning, they will pay off over the life of the fence. If you plan on living at your house for 5-10 years, wood posts would be the better option. The life expectancy for a wood fence with wood posts is around 15 years. Why put in the more expensive steel posts, when you won't get your money back out of them when you sell your home?
